Privacy Policy

Who we are

Love You Local ("we", "us") operates LoveYouLocal.com. Questions about this policy can be sent to hello@loveyoulocal.com or [mailing address].

Information we collect

• Order information: your name, email, shipping address, items purchased and order history. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Account information: if you create an account (for example to manage a Coffee Club subscription or as an affiliate), your email, name and account settings.
• Email list: if you join our list, your email address and a record of your consent (date, the wording you agreed to, and a one-way coded version of your IP address).
• Affiliate information: for approved affiliates, the details needed to run the program and pay commissions.
• Usage information: pages viewed, products viewed, items added to cart, referral links followed, campaign tags in links, device type and approximate visit counts. We do not store raw IP addresses for analytics.

How we use information

• To process, ship and support your orders and subscriptions.
• To send order, shipping and account emails.
• To send marketing emails, only if you opted in. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
• To credit affiliates for referrals and calculate their commissions.
• To understand how our website is used and improve it.
• To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies that the site needs to work, such as your shopping cart and a referral cookie that credits the affiliate who referred you for up to [30] days.

With your permission, we may also use Google Analytics 4 (to understand how visitors find and use our site) and Microsoft Clarity (to see, in a privacy-masked way, how people interact with pages so we can fix problems). These tools load only after you accept analytics cookies, and we configure them not to receive your name, email address, street address or payment details. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, under their own privacy and security terms:

• Stripe (payments, tax calculation)
• Resend (email delivery)
• Vercel (website hosting and cookieless analytics)
• Neon (database hosting) and Cloudflare (file storage)
• Upstash (security rate limiting)
• Shipping carriers (to deliver your order)
• Google and Microsoft, only if you accept analytics cookies

Affiliates see summary information about orders they referred (such as order date, amount and city/state), never your name, email or street address. We may also disclose information when required by law.

How long we keep information

• Order records: [7] years, for tax and accounting.
• Unconfirmed email signups: deleted after 30 days.
• Detailed analytics events: 13 months; after that only summary totals are kept.
• Email list: until you unsubscribe (we keep a record of the unsubscribe so we don't email you again).

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time, change your cookie choices from the footer, and ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing hello@loveyoulocal.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law; we will honor applicable requests.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use encryption in transit, strong passwords, limited admin access and trusted providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page and update the version and date below.
